DOEprojekts: Mandalas for a Time of Quarantine

The Gallery at the Sheen Center

DOEprojekts
Deborah Adams Doering and Glenn Doering

This artwork is a part of our current on-going “Mandalas for a Time of Quarantine” series. It incorporates DOEprojekts’ coreforms. At its center is the word “home” which is also at the center of all of our daily lives right now. While home is surrounded by viruses, new rules, blocks to “normal” life, and labyrinthine concerns, we see there is also space – to breathe, to grow in new ways, to relax, to discover. Our hope is that those who view this mandala can acknowledge the restrictions of our stay-at-home orders, while seeing the unique opportunities it also presents.

This artwork is a part of our current on-going “Mandalas for a Time of Quarantine” series. While our bodies are staying 6 feet away from each other, our hearts that are darkened with worry, are joining together to envision a brighter future – one that will be an improvement over what we previously considered “normal.”

This artwork is a part of our current on-going “Mandalas for a Time of Quarantine” series. If time seems to be standing still for us at this point, let us also see that we have time to grow like the plants around us who are awakening to another Spring.
