Backstage Broadway: Be More Chill

Presented by The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture

Monday, April 15, 2019 @ 7PM

With composer-lyricist Joe Iconis and members of the cast

Backstage Broadway is a new series hosted by actor, music director, composer/lyricist Alexander Gemignani that provides an inside look into the collaborative process and sources of inspiration that make creative teams and casts tick, resulting in bringing a show to the Great White Way.

This evening will look at the runaway success of the new musical Be More Chill, which started life at a theater in New Jersey, became a cult phenomenon with teens and young adults, opened off-Broadway, and transfers to Broadway in February 2019.

Guests will include Joe Iconis (NBC’s “Smash,” The Black Suits, Broadway Bounty Hunter), who wrote the music and lyrics, along with members of the cast and creative team.
