A young man, Michael Stouffer, disillusioned by divorce and a failed academic career, is tricked into returning to his hometown after a self-willed separation of nearly eighteen years to face an emotionally charged encounter with his past.

An enthralling tour de force, this award-winning play deals with issues of love and loss, faith and doubt, the strength of family ties, and the possibility of personal redemption.

Susie Duecker is honored to be returning to Storm Theatre where she was previously seen in Our God’s Brother.  Other favorite credits include: Mistress Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor with Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre, Mary in The Twelve Dates of Christmas with Next Act Theatre, Mark Antony in Julius Caesar and Montjoy in Henry V with Mad Rogues, Rosalind in As You Like It with Hudson Shakespeare Company, Anne Elliot in Persuasion and Estella in Great Expectations with Acacia Theater Company, and Alice in Drowning Girls with Renaissance Theaterworks.

Gillian Todd

Gillian is thrilled to get back in the theatre after recently wrapping a lead role in the indie feature film Dead Remains. Her recent TV credits include “Evil Lives Here,” “True Crime,” “The Perfect Murder” & “Diabolical.​” Gillian wants to extend a special thanks to her coaches & community at The Freeman Studio and to her friends and family for their support!

Buzz McLaughlin is a playwright and screenwriter, theatre and film producer, script
consultant, and teacher. His plays, which include Transcendence, Leaving Jane,
Traverse des Sioux, Sister Calling My Name, Spirit on the Plains, Absent Without
Leave, Limits, and Wings, have been produced in NYC and regionally in the U.S. and Canada.

Peter Dobbins is a co-founding member and Producing Artistic Director of the Storm Theatre Company.. Recently he directed the Blackfriars Repertory Theatre and Storm Theatre’s production of Ah, Wilderness! at the Sheen Center. Last spring he directed The Rainmaker by N. Richard Nash, and the prior spring directed Death Comes For The War Poets by Joseph Pearce, both at The Sheen Center.  Dobbins’ other directing credits include: T.S. Eliot’s Murder in the Cathedral; Dion Boucicault’s The Shaughraun and Arrah~na~Pogue; Stewart Parker’s Spokesong; William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night; Karol Wojtya (Pope John Paul II)’s The Jeweler’s Shop, Jeremiah, and Our God’s Brother.
