Giai điệu quê hương : Music of the Vietnamese Diaspora

Presented by the Vietnam Heritage Center

Saturday, April 6, 2019 @ 7:30PM

As part of Carnegie Hall’s festival “Migrations: The Making of America”, the Vietnam Heritage Center shares with you the various manners in which traditional and modern elements are blended together, both in music and in dance. The migration of Vietnamese people brings with it a rich tapestry of music and dance that is celebrated in the home and within the community. Some elements have remained true to Vietnamese culture as part of the lasting identity of Vietnamese people in the United States.

The Vietnam Heritage Center (“VHC”) is a New York 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the rich traditions and language of Vietnam. VHC’s mission is to promote and share Vietnamese language and culture to the general public and local community while providing support for the Vietnamese immigrant community. We strive to be a resource for all to learn about and celebrate Vietnamese lifestyles and customs.

Tickets: $25
