Bear witness to the unique performance of Witness Theater, which is the culmination of eight months of heartfelt collaboration between Holocaust survivors who have shared their stories with diverse high school students. On stage, the survivors are narrators while students re-enact their wartime experiences. This collective performance honors, shares, and celebrates the extraordinary survivors and their stories, and highlights the life-changing lessons they have imparted to the students.
Join us on May 14 th at 7pm to celebrate the 12 th season of Witness Theater!
The performance will be followed by a Q&A with members of the performance and creative team.

Witness Theater Information
Witness Theater was conceived by Irit and Ezra Dagan and developed by JDC-Eshel in Israel. It was brought to New York in 2012 by Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. This year’s Witness Theater Program is a collaboration of Selfhelp Community Services, Inc., UJA-Federation of New York, and the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture. This program is generously being funded by UJA-Federation of New York through the Community Initiative for Holocaust Survivors (CIHS), and also receives generous support from Carol and Carl Hess, the Miriam and Arthur Diamond Charitable Trust, and the Anderman Family. We also thank the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) that funds Selfhelp’s services for Holocaust survivors.
