Fr. John P. Cush, a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn, serves as Professor of Dogmatic and Fundamental Theology at Saint Joseph's Seminary and College, Dunwoodie (Archdiocese of New York), where he holds the Terence Cardinal Cooke Endowed Chair of Sacred Theology. He also serves as Director of Seminarian Admissions and Recruitment and Coordinator of the Discipleship Stage. He was ordained in 1998 and holds an S.T.L. and S.T.D. in Fundamental Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he also studied Dogmatic Theology at the Angelicum. After years in parish ministry and teaching at Cathedral Preparatory Seminary, he joined the faculty of the Pontifical North American College in Rome in 2015 as Academic Dean and Assistant Vice-Rector, and has held adjunct teaching posts at the Gregorian, the Holy Cross, and the Angelicum.

He is the author of several books, including The How-to-Book of Catholic Theology, Nothing But You, Lord (on priestly formation and spirituality), and Your Faith Has Saved You: Homilies for Liturgical Year "C," as well as co-author of Theology as Prayer: A Primer for Diocesan Priests. He is a regular contributor to The Tablet, The Evangelist, the National Catholic Register, and Church Life Journal, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Homiletic and Pastoral Review, where he writes a monthly "Questions and Answers" column.
